We’ve been waiting patiently for years for Diablo Immortal, a game originally announced by Blizzard for smartphones. There was some scandal from it, and it didn’t help that they’ve been pulling that particular look for almost four years now. Fortunately, the wait will soon be over, because the game will be released this summer and will not only be available on mobile operating systems.
The game will be available for download on iOS, Android and PC platforms, namely on the second of June, the day the long-awaited title will debut. The game will support crossplay and cross progression, which means that characters can be carried over to other devices, and we can play together with players from other platforms.
According to the developers, Diablo Immortal will be free-to-play – which is rather bad news, I think you can guess why – and they promise new characters, storylines and content for fans. Although the game debuts in a few weeks, you can pre-register now, by clicking this link.
As for the story, Diablo Immortal will take place between the second and third episodes of Diablo, players have to find the Worldstone shards, the stone itself was smashed by the archangel Tyrael, and the pieces are everywhere in the world of Refuge. We’ll get the crowd-favorite castes, you’ll be able to play with a barbarian, a wizard, and a necromancer, and of course, you’ll be able to loot all kinds of equipment while fighting weeds. On phones, control will be via the touch screen, and on computers with a keyboard and/or mouse, but controller support has also been promised, this is specifically mentioned in the game’s App Store and Google Play descriptions. Are you going to play Diablo Immortal or are you going to pass on this opportunity?
