iOS 16.3 will arrive next week

The next update for Apple’s smartphones will arrive next week, i.e. iOS 16.3 will finally run. The new system will include a number of bug fixes that will fix many of the inconveniences experienced so far.

Recently, there were reports that horizontal stripes temporarily appeared on the display for some people, as it turned out, fortunately, this was not the display’s fault, the problem was software instead of hardware. Among other things, the update will solve this, but it will also improve the lock screen and its widget. The second-generation HomePod and the physical security keys, which were recently presented and unfortunately are still not sold in Hungary, will receive support.

Returning to the horizontal lines, Apple identified them, the stripes appeared on the iPhone 14 Pro Max models and caused unpleasant moments for the owners, but fortunately they only appeared when waking up or restarting the phone. After installing iOS 16.3, this phenomenon will disappear. The other annoying thing was that instead of the background image, only black appeared on the lock screen, this will now be fixed as well. The removed Home Lock Screen widget also returns and will now display an accurate status.

There was also an issue that caused Siri to not respond properly to music requests, but the new update is expected to offer a cure for this not only on iPhones, but also on CarPlay. If all goes well, the new iOS version will arrive sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday, exactly when Apple starts rolling out the new Mac OS Ventura 13.2 system to compatible machines.
