House of the Dragon: The anticipated series Game of the Thrones will begin production in the spring of 2021

HBO and HBO Max content director Casey Bloys confirmed in a recent interview with TVLine magazine that they would begin production of one of the most anticipated HBO series in a matter of weeks. It will be a prelude to the Game of the Thrones, the House of the Dragon, which will begin production in April 2021, nearly two years after the series is over.

Casting began as early as last summer, and the series will be shot primarily in England, from the main seat of the Battle of the Thrones, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Based on George RR Martin’s book Fire and Blood, the 10-episode series depicts the rise and fall of the Targaryens.

It will be held 300 years before the events of the adaptation of the award-winning HBO series (Battle of the Thrones), the last episode released in May 2019.

George RR Martin and Ryan Condal write the House of the Dragon. Miguel Sapochnik also signed the series’s pilot and further episodes. The House of the Dragon HBO series will debut in 2022.
