The Red Magic 8 Pro, specially designed for running mobile games, will be unveiled on December 26, but some of its most important features were revealed long before the presentation, and we also know what the device will look like. As a matter of fact, the smartphone will be a true flagship whether we play games on it or not.
The smartphone’s display will be surrounded by extremely thin frames, according to the latest images, the display will be completely flat, many people will probably be happy about this, and it will also be easier to put the foil on it. This particular screen will be made by the Chinese BOE, it will be surrounded by only 1.48 mm bezels, according to preliminary promises, the display will occupy 93.7 percent of the front panel.
Below the display, we will find the front camera, this technology has obviously not fully matured yet, but those who are only moderately or not at all interested in self-photography will probably be satisfied with the quality of the pictures taken with the module. In any case, a gamer does not take pictures of himself, but rather pays attention to the games.
And they will run nicely, as the display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, and behind the panel, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset does the calculations. The Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro will be available in both standard and transparent versions, and the rear panel will house a 50-megapixel primary image recorder, which will contain Samsung’s GN5 sensor.
In terms of battery performance, we expect the release of two versions, one of which will be compatible with the terrifyingly fast 165-watt fast charge. This version may get a 5,000 mAh battery, but there will also be a larger version equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery with slightly slower charging speeds – the latter will probably make it to the global market. It’s only a few days until the device is unveiled, and then we’ll probably have additional information, such as expected pricing and distribution details.
