Recently, the presentations of many Chinese manufacturers were postponed due to the death of the former president and party secretary. Since then, most manufacturers have given new dates for their upcoming product unveilings, so we started with Motorola, which can present its next premium smartphone on December 15, which is believed to be the Moto X40, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor inside.
By the way, the announcement is completely official, it was made on the Chinese manufacturer’s Weibo page, and the products designated for presentation were not named specifically, but according to everyone, the X40 will arrive that day. The smartphone previously appeared in the database of the Chinese Telecommunications Bureau, and it is XT2301-5 with a model number, pictures of the mobile phone were also published and its features were leaked.
Based on TENAA data, the device will be equipped with a 6.67-inch curved display, which will display content in Full HD+ resolution. Depending on the chosen package, 8, 12, 18 GB of RAM and 128, 256, or 512 GB of storage can be added to the chipset serving inside the phone.
On the back of Motorola’s device is a triple camera image recording system, at the head of which is a 50-megapixel module, in addition to this there will be another 50-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel solution, but the exact role they play is not yet known.
It is worth mentioning that the display will also be a fingerprint reader, that is, a biometric identification module will be included. The phone is powered by a 4450 mAh battery.
In principle, there is also a Pro variant, but unfortunately we do not yet know how it will be compared to the basic model. It is also not certain that the two phones will arrive together. However, we will know more on December 15th.
