Thor in the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok does not resemble the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thor.

The gameplay of God of War: Ragnarök was shown on last night’s PlayStation Showcase, with the clip revealing various elements and characters from the gameplay and plot.

The obvious omission is Thor, who we expect to play a significant role in the sequel after his appearance in the previous Game of Thrones, but the teaser shows his hammer and voice.

That’s fine, though, because they also revealed some game images of the characters posing, including the god of lightning, who doesn’t look like Chris Hemsworth. If we’re not talking about the tummy version of the person in Fortnite who insults NoobMaster69, that is.

Thor has long red hair and a red beard in the game, but this draws attention to his enormous belly, which he doesn’t hide. After the performance, Ragnarök director Eric Williams stated that this interpretation was not by chance and that Thor would be a “huge, full-bodied, hedonistic, male-clad youngster.” Ryan Hurst, who played Harry ‘Opie’ Winston in the Hard Bikers series, provides his voice.

There were also images of other characters, primarily those who survived the previous episode, as well as a dwarf named Durlin (? ), the local god of war, Tyr, who was mentioned frequently in the last part, and Angbroda, who was “one of the last giants,” who was shown at the trailer’s very end, though it is still relatively small.

It’s probably no accident that he’s as old as Atreus, but since that would be a spoiler, search up who this man is in Northern mythology if you’re curious. Williams also announced that Odin would be in the game and that he would be voiced by Richard Schiff, well-known among The President’s soldiers.
