To restore Facebook, you need to plug your laptop into the routers

Based on a deleted Reddit post, it is conceivable that Facebook engineers will not remotely fix the errors that caused the shutdown.

Facebook stopped entirely at around 6 PM time, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The service still didn’t come to fruition when writing this article. In fact, according to previous information, the company’s employees ’ internal communication platform has also given in, and the company can’t receive external emails.

Precisely what may be behind the downtime is not yet known. The company has just issued a statement saying they are trying to fix the problem as soon as possible. However, IT expert Gábor Szöllősi writes that Facebook engineers cannot remotely remedy the problem from a deleted Reddit post.

“According to a deleted Reddit comment, the whole thing stopped after a network configuration change, and as a result, the engineers excluded themselves from the routers, so now we have to physically go there, plug in the laptop.”

It is not yet known whether this is indeed the case.
