Huawei has switched to Android 11
Nova 9 has just arrived
Huawei has gotten into a pretty tough position due to U.S. bans, so software updates have slowed, but the manufacturer’s first Android 11 phone, the Nova 9, has just arrived.
The manufacturer has remained with the EMUI 11 interface based on Android 10 for international models for a long time, while Harmony OS updates have been going on in China for some time. On the other hand, the EMUI 12 interface, already based on Android 11, has been launched in the European market.
The apparent beauty flaw of the whole thing is that Google just released Android 12, so Huawei is roughly a year behind. Aside from that, however, it’s positive that at least progress has been made, and even if the Android version isn’t the latest, EMUI 12 is a modern interface, pretty much the same as what Harmony OS 2.0 offers.

So the Huawei Nova 9 was the first of its kind to produce Android 11 and EMUI 12, and the good news is that many previous models will also be upgraded in Europe, all the way back to the Mate 10 and P20.
