Elon Musk has launched a vote on Twitter to sell Tesla shares

The majority of his multibillion followers voted in favor. He has recently accumulated significant unrealized gains on Tesla shares, so founder Elon Musk asked his followers if he would sell ten percent of the securities.

Musk also launched a vote on Twitter, and in another post, he promised to make the majority decision.

Late Sunday morning, about 8 hours before the vote closed, 2.8 million voted, 57 percent in favor.

Musk, by the way, has 62.5 million followers on Twitter and has more than $200 billion worth of shares.

The BBC also recalls that Elon Musk is currently the richest man globally. He refers to the debate that the rich accumulate their unrealized gains to avoid paying taxes in his current posts.
