Upcoming: Game releases in January 2022

Following a bit in the wake of what has been seen in recent years, January will begin again as a calmer month, leaving us some space during the first days to finish spending the holidays and adjust to the new year. However, that does not mean that there is no good list of upcoming releases.

And the thing is that even if they are less, a month full of upcoming releases for PC awaits us, among which the ports of God of War and Monster Hunter Rise stand out; as well as many other new IPs for the rest of the platforms that will undoubtedly help us to start the year on a perfect footing.

As is customary, below you can find a small summary of what we consider to be some of the most relevant upcoming releases of January, ordered chronologically by their release date and availability :

And it is that Kratos not only leaves behind the consoles but also his revenge against the gods of Olympus, now living as a man in the domain of the Norse gods and monsters. However, he must also fight to survive this cruel and unforgiving world while facing the greatest of his tasks: teaching his son.

After a bit of delay, we are finally happy to see that this new installment of the Ubisoft shooter reappears in our list of upcoming releases. Windjammers 2

Console: PC , PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch , Stadia

It was announced for the first time in 2018. After massive delays that indicated that we would never hear from him again, this direct successor to the original classic that arrived in the SNK arcade system in the 90s finally comes. And it is that 25 years later, throwing flying discs at your rivals is still as cool as before, and this sequel is the perfect mix of what you liked so much about the classic game along with totally new mechanics and graphics that, although improved, maintain that 2D essence.

Hidden Deep – January 24

Diplomacy is Not an Option

Console: PC

A crazy real-time strategy (or RTS) game in which you’ll become a medieval feudal lord amid the mid-forties. You constantly have to make hundreds of decisions a day about city management and economic development by your position. You are tired of this drab and seemingly pointless existence. Circuit Superstars – January 27

Console: PC

A top-down racing game created by and for fans. It focuses on providing a great but demanding driving feel, spending hours honing yourself to the perfect lap.

Pokemon Legends Arceus – January 28

Console: Switch

Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated subsequent releases of the month and the year comes with this new installment of Pokémon, about which fans have placed great expectations. And it is that although it will not finally be the first title of the franchise to be developed on an open world or sandbox, we will have the vast maps of the old Sinnoh region, many years ago, in which we will be able to capture and investigate new and known (albeit changed) wild Pokémon to create the region’s first Pokédex.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Console: PS5

Closing the first list of upcoming releases this year, we find this collection includes the four installments of Nathan Drake’s award-winning single-player adventures, remastered with improved graphics, a higher frame rate, and an incredible level of detail, specially oriented for getting the most out of the PS5.
