Huawei Nova 9 series arrives: 100 watt charge and Snapdragon 778G 4G chip
Huawei delighted us with brand new mid-range smartphones in the Nova 9 series. The series consists of two primary and a Pro model devices, with new features including lightning-fast charging, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, and many other attractive features for their future owner. Still, unfortunately, 5G support has been missed this time as well.
The Huawei Nova 9 Pro has a larger screen with a tiny capsule-shaped cutout that houses the front cameras because there are two of them, every 32 megapixels. The 6.72-inch screen is based on OLED technology and supports an image refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The base model has a 6.57-inch display and only has a single 32-megapixel front-panel image recorder. The resolution for both the basic Nova 9 and Pro models is Full HD +, and both devices have a fingerprint reader mounted below the display.
On the back of the news, a 50-megapixel RYYB primary sensor will serve, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and two 2-megapixel sensors, one for macro photography and the other for depth detection.
The soul of the new Huawei mobiles is a unique Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G equipped with an “only” LTE modem, meaning the devices do not support next-generation telecommunications networks.
Undercover of the Huawei Nova 9 is a 4300 mAh battery powered by a charger of up to 66 watts.
In the Pro model, the battery is slightly smaller, which means a capacity of 4000 mAh, but this device can be charged with a charger of up to 100 watts. Huawei claims that the phone can be charged 100 percent in just 20 minutes to be completely discharged.
The Huawei Nova 9 and Nova 9 Pro will be available in blue, green, purple, and black shades, with sales starting Sept. 29 in China. The base model will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage, the former for 418 and the latter for $464 in local currency. The 8/128GB base pack of the Pro model will be available for 542 yuan, while the 8/256GB version will be available for $604.
