Apple quietly kills off a popular iMac model
If you’re thinking about buying a 21.5 ”smart iMac now, it’s probably too late, or at least you’ll only get one with great luck. Apple has stopped marketing this model without much publicity. The choice has narrowed: Apple will no longer sell the 21.5 ”.

The extracted 21.5 ”iMac configuration included a 2.3 GHz dual-core, 7th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD, and an Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 – writes MacRumors. Although the machine has been criticized by many for its specifications, outdated design, and relatively high cost, it has been trendy in American education.
Apple has not yet publicly commented on the above. Incidentally, the execution of said machine type was noticed by a YouTuber named TechGod. According to archive data viewed by the 9to5Mac, the 21.5 ”iMac appears to have been removed from Apple’s online store on Friday, October 29th.
Apple, by the way, continues to sell the Intel-based 27 ”iMac with the previous generation design. It is rumored that the updated model with the new design and Apple Silicon chip is expected to appear sometime in the first half of 2022.
