A new subscription will be added to NVIDIA GeForce Now, the service will support the RTX 3080

Top quality from the cloud

NVIDIA’s cloud game streaming service, GeForce Now, is expanded with new games every Thursday, but now a new subscription has also been added.

So far, you have a choice of 2 subscriptions, between limited free and 6 hours paid. The latter means you can play with GeForce Now for 6 hours in a row. The new 3rd subscription is the RTX 3080 and will be available this year by the end of the year.

The RTX 3080, as its name suggests, will stream games in exceptionally high quality. On PCs and Macs, we can go up to 120 fps in 1440p, but 4K 60 fps will also be an option on NVIDIA Shield TVs. The subscription offers 8 hours of play, meaning the 6 hours mentioned above have been increased.

1440p requires at least 35Mbps for 120 fps, while the 4K 60 fps option on Shield TV requires an Internet connection with 40Mbps bandwidth. As there are more and more game streaming providers, we’ve summarized earlier what the different subscription services offer.

Here are some of the games that GeForce Now added this week:

  • Disciples: Liberation (new release on Steam and Epic Games Store)
  • ELYON (the new look on Steam)
  • Riders Republic – (“Trial Week” on Ubisoft Connect)
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration (unique appearance on Steam and Epic Games Store)
  • Sword and Fairy 7 (the new look on Steam)
  • The Forgotten City (Steam and Epic Games Store)
  • Legend of Keepers (Steam and Epic Games Store)
  • New World (Steam)
  • Townscape (Steam)
