Facebook apologized for Friday’s Instagram shutdown
They’re on the case, they posted on Twitter.
As we wrote, Instagram began to falter again on Friday night: Facebook-connected social media apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp) were past the most significant downtime of Monday night, and on Friday, apps, especially Instagram, began to falter again.

The parent company wrote on Twitter that we have detected the problem and are recovering the apps as soon as possible. We apologize for the omission.
