Netflix makes documentary about SpaceX’s civilian mission, cameras will be in space

Netflix is making a five-part documentary series with SpaceX about the company’s first mission to bring civilians into space. The last part describes the period between the start and return.

If all goes according to plan, SpaceX’s next mission, Inspiration4, will launch on September 14, bringing civilians into space for the first time. The historical journey is thoroughly documented.

Netflix has announced Countdown: The Inspiration4 Mission to Space, a five-part documentary series that offers an “unprecedented insight” into travel. The first two episodes will be shown on September 6, in which we will get to know the characters of the trip.

The second two episodes arrive on September 13, showing months of preparation. The launch will be monitored on Netflix’s YouTube channel, and the final episode will air in late September, a few days after return, showing the entire journey until the return. In other words, the last part is made from the moment it starts to the landing, so we can see what is happening in almost real-time.

Jason Hehir will direct the series, creator of the documentary series Michael Jordan – To the Last Championship, writes Entrepreneur.

Four people will take part in the journey. Jared Isaacman, 38, who finances the entire project, is a medical assistant to Hayley Arceneaux, 29, who managed to beat bone cancer- Chris Sembroski, 41, a former U.S. Air Force officer Sian Proctor, 51, who worked as a teacher. The team will spend three days in space after launch and return to Earth.
