MediaTek again became the largest mobile chip brand
According to the most recent figures, MediaTek processors continue to create and sell the most mobile processors, with Qualcomm a distant second.
According to Counterpoint research, MediaTs sold 38 percent of mobile CPUs in the second quarter of 2021, implying that most new phones already include such chips. Qualcomm came in second place with 32%, followed by Apple in third place with 15%.
The top three competitors control a large portion of the industry, with the fourth-placed Samsung Exynos chips accounting for only 7% of the market, followed by Unisoc (previously Spreadtrum) with 5%. HiSilicon, Huawei’s insert manufacturer, dropped drastically to only 3%, putting it in sixth place.
The same order was in place in the first quarter, and MediaTek continued to lead, but their shares have now risen even more.
