Xbox has updated Series X and S with a few new features.
Everyone with an Xbox Series X or Series S is getting a fresh software update this week. There are no significant changes here. However, there are a few new things to try out.
Quick Resume, our favorite feature, has been improved, and you can now determine what the “share” button on the controller should do.
In the new March update, Xbox Series X and S customers may now “pin” their favorite games to the Quick Resume overview. You can use this method to highlight two games, guaranteeing that they are always stored in the console’s cache.
This is especially beneficial if you have a few favorite games that you frequently play while also trying out new titles now and again. You may now ensure that the games you don’t want take up space in the console’s cache and push your favorite games out.
Quick Resume was the Xbox Series X’s most noticeable “killer feature” in our test, which the PlayStation 5 could not equal because you can only have quick loading on one game on PlayStation 5, whereas Xbox allows you to have it on several games.
A specific share button is available on the Xbox controller. You can save video clips, take screenshots, and share them with other people by pressing them. It’s great for those of you who want to share, but Microsoft has some good news for you if you don’t think you need it.
You may now customize what the share button does with the latest version. You can use it to silence all sound, open your friend’s list, or access the accomplishments menu, for example. It’s entirely up to you.
There are additional sound settings that can be tweaked. More information is available at Xbox.
