Another game developer has been added to PlayStation Studios
In June, Sony leaked the acquisition of Bluepoint Games.
Following in the footsteps of Microsoft, Sony is also acquiring game development companies one after the other, this time after receiving the Housemarque made by Returnal in June, this time, Bluepoint Games has joined the PlayStation Studios.
The acquisition was inadvertently unveiled at the time of the purchase of Housemarque by Sony, an inattentive social media employee who accidentally uploaded a picture welcoming Bluepoint to Twitter instead of the Finnish company.
Bluepoint Games has so far mainly dealt with remastering and remake projects, in addition to re-creating Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus on modern platforms, the first three Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection responsible for renovations, he managed to carry out each of his projects to a high standard.
Nonetheless, the development company is currently working on a completely new and proprietary game: Sony didn’t buy Bluepoint to mass-produce refurbished editions of the classics. It offered it the opportunity to unfold on its own.
