Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the big hits of the PlayStation 4 generation, so we’re looking forward to the sequel, Forbidden West, whose gameplay was thoroughly introduced by Guerrilla Games earlier this summer. Until now, we just didn’t know exactly when the game would be released, although we suspected that the development contingent would not hold the 2021 premiere. He didn’t, as a date for 2022 was announced on the opening night of Gamescom.
Yes, the game’s director, Mathijs de Jonge, announced that Horizon Forbidden West would arrive on both platforms on February 18, 2022. This did not come as a surprise to us, as even on the occasion of the premiere at the beginning of the summer, Guerrilla indicated that we should not take poison to the 2021 premiere, as the coronavirus pandemic has hindered work in many things. That’s why the sequel to God of War is delayed- and horizon forbidden west doesn’t seem to have been able to complete it in time.
Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s story and research, during which we can literally dive into the familiar post-apocalyptic world. The developers promise more interaction than ever before, we can finally climb columns and angles, and the combat system has improved a lot compared to Zero Dawn. We think it’s worth the wait, so come in February in almost perfect condition than this year, but full of bugs!
Pre-orders for the game will start on September 2, 2021.
