  • Moto Edge X30, the first with Qualcomm’s next-generation SoC

Moto Edge X30, the first with Qualcomm’s next-generation SoC

Motorola has announced the launch of the Moto Edge X30, a smartphone that will hit the market this month with a prominent component: it will be the first to use Qualcomm’s new SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Moto Edge X30 is Motorola’s new flagship in smartphones. It mounts a large 6.7-inch diagonal OLED multi-touch screen with FHD + resolution. Its adaptive refresh rate can reach 144 Hz, while touch sampling is 576 Hz. It supports HDR10 + high dynamic range, and its maximum brightness exceeds 1000 nits.

As we said, it will be the first smartphone to use the new generation of chips. Qualcomm has designed to cut the gap compared to Apple A and, incidentally, position itself in PCs with better performance designs. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 used by the new Motorola promises a 20% increase in process performance, a 30% increase in graphics performance, and a 25% efficiency improvement over the Snapdragon 888, with advances also in the digital signal and camera engines, Hexagon and Spectra.

Motorola accompanies the chip with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory and internal storage UFS 3.1 of 128 or 256 Gbytes. Its 5,000 mAh battery is not bad, coupled with 68W short cable charging. At the same time, for its camera system, Motorola mounts a triple sensor on the main one and a front camera of excellent resolution with 60 megapixels.

Most terminal versions will have a cutout in the screen for the front camera, but Motorola will also offer a special edition with a camera under the screen.

Moto Edge X30, versions and prices

Motorola has announced its launch in China on December 15. We see several color finishes, and another of its outstanding notes will be that it pre-installs Android 12 with its own MYUI 3.0 interface. As for versions and prices, they will be the following:

    • 8 GB of RAM / 128 GB for storage: 500 dollars to change.
    • 8 GB of RAM / 256 GB for storage: 535 dollars to change.
    • 12 GB of RAM / 256 GB for storage: 565 dollars to change.
    • Special Edition with camera under the screen, with 12 GB of RAM / 256 GB for storage: 630 dollars to change.

It is unknown when it will be available in international markets. If its configuration changes, Motorola aims a bit by releasing the new Qualcomm chip and being one of the first to offer Android 12 as standard.

  • AnTuTu’s November list of the fastest Android mobiles has come out

AnTuTu’s November list of the fastest Android mobiles has come out

One of the most popular benchmark apps, AnTuTu, has arrived in November with the fastest or, if you like, the highest-performing Android smartphones.

The statistics were compiled between November 1 and 30, and only devices with at least 1,000 copies of the test program could be included in the list. Thus, the results below show the average, not the highest scores.

    [ads1]

With the new Qualcomm high-end processor just coming out a few days ago and the smartphone not yet unveiled with the new cannon, the November and December aggregations will be dominated by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset.

Of course, there are some “smooth” Snapdragon” 888 i “sert models on the list. First place went to the game-sharpened (Xiaomi) Black Shark 4S Pro, which tops the AnTuTu flagship rankings for the second month in a row.

Another “gaming” smartphone follows the gamer mobile,” the “nubia Red Magic 6S Pro, which is backed by the (Vivo) in 8 Pro, the latter also designed for mobile gamers.

The field will continue to be dominated by gamer phones, with fourth-place Black Shark 4 Pro – already featuring the Snapdragon 888 instead of the Plus variant – but followed by another Snapdragon 888+ mobile, the Vivo X70 Pro +.

    [ads2]

In fifth place is the Asus ROG Phone 5s, while in sixth is the iQOO 8 (Vivo), also equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chip. However, we can see pretty much the October results.

AnTuTu also makes a different list every month, with these mid-range smartphones compared to each other.

Devices powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset seem to dominate the mid-range field, although it is rare to see a mobile phone with a Dimensity chip. First place is the (Vivo) iQOO Z5, followed by the Oppo K9s 5G, and third is a phone with a Snapdragon 780G, called the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

On the list, the Xiaomi Civi is followed by members of the Honor 50 series, meaning the base model and its Pro variant, and the seventh-place went to the Oppo Reno 6 5G, which includes the Dimensity 900.

In eighth and ninth place, Huawei Nova 9 mobiles are flourishing, and their Snapdragon 778G is the soul, followed by the line ofRedmi Note 11 Pro + closes, powered by MediaTek’s DimensiMediaTek’sp.

  • Huawei Mate V, the manufacturer’s flip cell phone, is coming soon

Huawei Mate V, the manufacturer’s flip cell phone, is coming soon

It’s been a long time since you’ve heard of Huawei’s flip-shaped, foldable-screen smartphone, but it hasn’t arrived so far, and almost nothing has been revealed about its features.

In terms of hardware, we won’t be much brighter this time either, but we can at least tell you when the smartphone will debut.

The device will have an improved hinge and a cooling system designed explicitly for bendable mobiles based on the data that has come to light. The heat dissipation design that emerges during use seems very interesting based on a patent filed last year: the device spans all of it and is unique in that it is flexible.

And thanks to a leak at Weibo, we already know that the flip mobile will arrive on December 23rd, and not alone, although Huawei Mate V will undoubtedly be the protagonist at the show. Laptops, televisions, and a Fit Mini smart bracelet will also be unveiled at the event.

The release date will also be confirmed by a leaked lover showing a collapsed flip mobile and a reference to an end-of-December announcement. Then what kind of hardware, at what price, and in what markets the smartphone will be available for now is a mystery, but as we get closer to this particular demo, we’ll probably find out more about Huawei Mate V.

  • Samsung is testing Android 12 on the Galaxy S10 and Note 10

Samsung is testing Android 12 on the Galaxy S10 and Note 10

Samsung has recently exposed itself to upgrades, with extended support times for many of their models, for example, and they are doing quite well with the release of Android 12.

Stable software has already been released for the S21 mobiles, and beta testing is underway for many other devices. The company’s 2019 flagships have now joined the latter.

Of course, the Galaxy S21 series was the first to receive the One UI 4 interface based on Android 12. The line will continue soon, as the software is already being tested on the foldable Flip and Fold models, the S20 series and the Note 20 series, and now Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 mobiles will also join.

For the time being, the beta program has been launched in South Korea on the Galaxy S10, S10 +, S10e, and S10 5G and the Note 10 and Note 10+ phones. They all came out in 2019, they’ve been two years old, yet Samsung isn’t delaying much, which is commendable. Incidentally, the release of the stable system for these mobiles will start in January, and several of the newer models may already be updated in December according to a previously leaked schedule.

Of course, Samsung will not leave the mid-range either. The Galaxy A42 5G, Galaxy A52s 5G, and the manufacturer’s affordable top mobile, Galaxy S20 FE, may occur in January.

  • A bunch of new Android features have been announced by Google

A bunch of new Android features have been announced by Google

The Google crew is in a festive mood, and they’ve released a slew of new Android features. Some of these will be accessible shortly, while others are already available.

    [ads1]

The Family Bell feature, which reminds us of crucial moments, brings families together. Users will receive notifications through phone, bright display, or house speaker, ensuring they do not miss any vital information. The feature can make us think of things like going to the movies with our family or doing homework.

You can now use Google Books to view your entire collection or keep track of where you are in an audiobook, thanks to the addition of widgets to three Google apps. You can see you’re most recently listened to tracks and control your music playback using YouTube Music. Google Photos now has a People & Pets widget that allows you to add a sweet face to your home screen.

The latter will be ready as early as next week; however, it is unclear when the others will be equipped. Google Photos now has a new ” Memories “ feature found within the app. This involves selecting images and videos from special occasions such as holidays or significant birthdays. You can rename, customize, or even remove these.

The mechanical restoration of application permissions improves user security by denying applications that haven’t been used in a long time access to data on the device or preventing them from completing any actions. The permissions will be re-enabled when you open the app. Google Play Services will make a new capability available as early as Android 6.0.

    [ads2]

New emojis will be added to the Gboard keyboard, and beta users will be able to try them out, but they will be available in the “regular” app in the coming weeks. The gift box emoji, for example, is one of the newbies, and it’s right on time as the holidays approach.

An exciting innovation is the digital car key function, one of the newly announced innovations that can already be used. In addition to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models, the innovation is also available on Samsung Galaxy S21 in selected regions. The new feature only works with a few compatible BMW cars, but it’s not impossible to later extend support to vehicles from other manufacturers.

The final feature, which was just announced, is the ability to have Android Auto starts immediately when we attach our Android device to a suitable vehicle. We have access to a feature called Smart Answers on the fly, making it easier to respond to a text message with Google Now.

Another benefit will be voice search, which will allow us to select songs in media apps more quickly and without making mistakes. Google has stated that two new car features will be released soon, though no specific date has been set.

  • There will be many more Exynos chipsets in Samsung phones next year

There will be many more Exynos chipsets in Samsung phones next year

According to recent reports, Samsung is working to significantly increase the number of devices that use the in-house developed Exynos chipset. Numerically, this could mean that the manufacturer wants to produce twice as many Exynos tiles in 2022 as this year.

A local media outlet, ET News, reported that Samsung would increase the proportion of Exynos chipsets in mobiles from the current 20 percent to 50 to 60 percent. Samsung’s LSI division will double the number of Exynos chips produced next year to achieve this goal. According to an industry source, Samsung also wants to address two critical issues with the new Exynos chips: one related to 5G communications and chip warming. The manufacturer has learned hard on the subject and has remedied these problems as well.

ET News says that before fans of premium Galaxy models and Qualcomm chips scream as one, the rise of Exynos chips is primarily for low-end and mid-range devices. Most of Samsung’s recently introduced affordable handsets are powered by some Snapdragon or MediaTek chip, which is said to replace them with a self-developed chip in the future.

The most powerful mid-range Exynos chip is numbered 1080, but it has not yet been installed in any Samsung mobile phone and is currently only used in Vivo handsets. That’s weird because the chip is on the same level of performance as the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 or Snapdragon 780G, and they have a lot of kraft in them.

Advancing Exynos inserts is irrelevant to flagship devices, as previous news suggests that Galaxy S22 models with Snapdragon chips may be available in more markets due to production issues with the Exynos 2200. Of course, this, as ET News reports, is not yet confirmed information, although another press body, ITHome, has approved the rise of Exynos inserts.

  • A 200-megapixel camera is coming to Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles

A 200-megapixel camera is coming to Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles

The surprising news was shared by a well-known tipster as well as a Chinese social networking site about which manufacturer could put Samsung’s 200 MP camera sensor in their smartphone for the first time.

As early as September, Samsung announced the first 200 MP smartphone sensor, the ISOCELL HP1. At the time, it seemed almost inevitable that the sensor could be introduced in one of the Xiaomi models or the Galaxy S22 Ultra in early 2022.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the Xiaomi 12 Series will have “only” a 50 MP primary camera, and Samsung will wait until 2023 to use the 200 MP camera sensor, which means the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be one. But then what kind of phone will the novelty cost first? The well-known tipster Ice Universe has reported that Motorola could be the runner-up, with the manufacturer overtaking Xiaomi and launching a 200-MP smartphone in the first half of 2022. By the way, the Twitter information was also confirmed by the Chinese Digital Chat Station on Weibon. However, there is no information about the name of the model yet.

Motorola could be the first in any other way: the Moto Edge X will be released in China in December and could make its debut as the world’s first smartphone to work with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. (The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was formerly referred to as the Snapdragon 898, but Qualcomm’s branding system has changed since then.) The Moto Edge X is expected to hit the global market as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

By the way, the number of megapixels is not nearly everything you can find out from our previous article, what else to look out for if you want to buy a phone that takes excellent pictures.

  • The Samsung 2022 tablet and wearable device production schedule has been leaked

The Samsung 2022 tablet and wearable device production schedule has been leaked

It is no exaggeration to say that the expectations of Samsung are huge for both the professional and the fans, as far as 2022 is concerned, and this time we are not just thinking about smartphones.

The manufacturer is also making tablets, earphones, smartwatches, and laptops for next year, and now, thanks to The Elec, Samsung’s plans for 2022 have come to light. Thanks to these, we can gain insight into how Samsung envisions the future of these products.

The published document reveals production plans and debut dates, not daily but every quarter. Since most of us are not fluent in Korean, FronTron was a great help. A leaker translated and then tabulated all the information that was omitted.

It turns out, for example, that the Galaxy Tab S8 series will consist of a total of four devices, with the Galaxy Tab S8 +, a Lite variant in addition to the base model, and the flagship Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra expected to arrive in the second half of 2022, while the Lite release sometime you can follow the others in the fourth quarter.

It is planned that 1.6 million copies of the Lite model and 1.2 million of the basic edition will be produced, while 900 and 400,000 copies will be expected for the two premium variants.

Samsung is also thinking of users with thinner wallets and more modest needs, as they are planning two entry-level tablets: the Galaxy Tab A8 and Galaxy Tab A7 will be available in the first and fourth quarters, with a much larger number of premium tablets, each with 11 million will drop off the company’s production lines this time.

As for other devices, the Galaxy Watch is expected to produce roughly 4.8 million units in 5 hours in the fourth quarter, with the arrival of the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 and Buds Live 2 ears expected sometime in the second quarter. It is planned to produce 3.3 million of the latter and 3.1 million of the former.

  • Xiaomi is already testing MIUI 13 on Android 12 and 11

Xiaomi is already testing MIUI 13 on Android 12 and 11

According to the latest news, Xiaomi is already testing the MIUI 13 user interface with steam power, based on Android 12 and Android 11.

Some insiders have managed to dig into the source code of the interface, in which they came across a lot of interesting information, for example, a list of devices that may be the first to receive the new software.

After picking up the source code, it turns out that in addition to the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12X will also debut in December. You know, it’s some of the more compact mobiles you’ve heard of, with a Snapdragon 870 chip, a 6.28-inch AMOLED display, and a 50-megapixel camera.

There was also data on the Redmi K50 in the code. The device will debut with MIUI 13 based on Android 11, just like the Xiaomi 12X. Of course, since there is still time until the devices are officially released, this may even change, but the build numbers currently found in the source code suggest this.

Owners of the Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, Redmi K40, K40 Pro, Mi 10S, and Mi 11 Lite 5G, on the other hand, can expect to receive the MIUI 13 interface built on Android 12 soon. Experts have found beta builds for these mobiles. It is unknown when this will happen, but it is assumed that updates will start sometime before the end of 2021.

  • Apple has changed its logo to red in several stores

Apple has changed its logo to red in several stores

December 1 is World AIDS Day. For many years, Apple has been using its own devices to warn of severe illness and related health, economic, and social problems.

Although the coronavirus epidemic has long been at the forefront of medical news, AIDS, in addition to promising advances in its cure, is still one of the most severe health problems in the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared December 1 World AIDS Day 23 years ago. Following this initiative, many are using their means to raise awareness of the importance of joint action.

Apple, for example, has colored the big apple logo red in several Apple Stores and continues to sell exclusive (RED) versions of its products. These are red versions of popular Apple devices, from iPhones to Apple intelligent straps.

In addition, until December 6, the Global Fund will donate $1 (up to $ 1 million in total) to the International Organization for each purchase on Apple.com, the Apple Store app, and the U.S. Apple Stores. Half of the revenue will be used to fight Covid-19 by December 31, 2022, to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on the fight against AIDS.

Apple has raised nearly $270 million to fight global epidemics such as AIDS and Covid-19 in a 15-year partnership with RED.

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to be the fastest chip in Android phones

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to be the fastest chip in Android phones

According to Qualcomm, not only has the new processor been improved over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 888, but its power consumption has also been significantly improved.

On Tuesday, Qualcomm’s usual year-end technology conference, the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021, kicked off. As expected, the manufacturer will immediately unveil its new processor, which will work in the top Android 2022 mobiles — more precisely, part of it. The company says the unit is much stronger than previously made inserts.

As you may have heard before, the manufacturer has invented a new name this year, so instead of the Snapdragon 898, viewers could see the name Snapdragon 8 Gen1. Number 8 indicates that we are dealing with a top processor, and Gen1 suggests that this is the first CPU of the new era.

    © Qualcomm

The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is Qualcomm’s first 4nm manufacturing technology unit. The cores are based on the ARMv9 architecture, and there are eight of them. The strongest is the Cortex-X2, which can tick at 3 GHz, complemented by three Cortex-A710s (2.5 GHz) and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510s (1.8 GHz).

The manufacturer claims that the new architecture has made the processor 20 percent faster and uses 30 percent less power than the Snapdragon 888.

    © Qualcomm

The Adreno’s GPU performs graphics tasks, outperforming its predecessor by 30 percent while consuming 25 percent less power.

The Adreno Frame Motion Engine, according to the manufacturer, allows the GPU to display games at double the frame rate while not consuming extra power. Or vice versa: you can halve your power consumption at the original frame rate.

The X65 modem provides a 5G connection in the unit, giving a theoretical data transfer rate of 10 Gbps.

  • The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 + cameras have been revealed

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 + cameras have been revealed

Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S22 are continually circulating, and it appears that mobile cameras are playing a vital role in these rumors.

    [ads1]

The dumping of information concerning picture capture units discloses more and more specifics, but the Galaxy S22 Ultra has been prominently highlighted in all of this material for understandable reasons. However, owing to Ice Universe, the other two Galaxy S22 devices have also gained attention because their cameras have been hidden for these devices.

There will be no difference between the two cellphones’ image capturing units. The first module will be based on a 50-megapixel sensor with 1.0-micrometer physical pixels behind an f/1.8-aperture lens, measuring 1 / 1.57-inch in size.

Depending on the characteristics, it will most likely be a Samsung GN5 or a Sony IMX766 sensor, whichever is available. The current Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus include a 12-megapixel primary camera with 1.8-pixel pixels on the back. Pixel merging will be used in the Galaxy S22 series. Hence the appropriate pixel size for 12.5 megapixels will be 2.0 micrometers.

The telephoto camera now uses lossless digital zoom, but the new generation will use a purely visual approach with 3x magnification and an aperture of f/2.4. The new module will have a resolution of 10 megapixels, with pixels measuring 1.0 micrometers and a size of 1 / 3.94 inches.

A 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 1 / 2.55-inch and 1.4-micron pixels is also included in the camera set. This sensor is not innovative, as the Galaxy S21 series uses the same module.

The well-proven recipe for the self-timer camera remains unchanged, with the same 10-megapixel, f/ 2.2 aperture, 1 / 3.24-inch, 1.22-micron pixel capture sensor featured in the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + models.

The Galaxy S22 has a 6.06-inch display, while the S22 Plus has a 6.55-inch display, according to the leak that crashed the cameras.

  • Live Images of the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro

Live Images of the Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro

Honor still operates in the shadow of possible U.S. bans, but the Honor 50 series, which debuted last semester, has helped them a lot to regain some of their former glory and head back to the top. Maybe that’s why they didn’t wait any longer with the sequel, which will arrive on Wednesday in the form of Honor 60 devices. The mobiles have now been photographed by someone to admire them in their complete pump.

The truth is that the Honor 60 series will consist of three smartphones, with a Pro and an SE variant in addition to the base model, but only the former two can be seen in the photos that have just come to light. The two mobile devices are not different, but the new images show the Pro model with curved edges at the bottom and top, making the frame look even thinner.

The Honor 60 Pro looks taller in the images than the base model, but there isn’t much difference in width.

The design of the mobiles matches that the front camera is cut into the center of the screen, centered below the top frame, and three image capture units are mounted on the back of the Honor 60 models.

The Honor 60 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G + processor, a 6.72-inch OLED screen, a 108-megapixel primary camera, and a 4,000mAh battery in the rumors of the tech world. Of course, these are just assumptions. For the time being, we will know for sure at the presentation on December 1st.
