  • The price of graphics cards falls, coinciding with the fall of cryptocurrencies

The price of graphics cards falls, coinciding with the fall of cryptocurrencies

Those of you who regularly read us will remember that, on more than one occasion, I have told you that the price of graphics cards is influenced, in the market, by the value of cryptocurrencies. I know that this is not the only factor that can make the price of graphics cards go up or down, but it is undoubtedly one of the most important.

At the end of 2020, when the crisis that has dragged on the general consumer graphics card sector since then began, there was enormous growth of the leading cryptocurrencies, something that, together with the shortage of semiconductors, the problems caused by the COVID-19 in the supply chain, and the impact that resale and speculation had created the perfect cocktail for the price of this component to inflate to a level that we had not seen before.

With that in mind, we are not surprised that the price of graphics cards has started to drop slightly after the latest bump in the cryptocurrency sector. At the time of writing this article, it accumulates losses of a billion dollars. Ethereum, the most popular cryptocurrency to mine with graphics cards, went from a peak of $4,080 in December to $2,184.14 at the time of writing. In effect, its value has almost halved.

Bitcoin is not going through its best moment either, and it is that it has fallen, in less than a month, from 51,888 dollars to 33,404 dollars. The numbers speak for themselves and show how volatile this sector continues to be. However, it seems that he has already embarked on the road to recovery and that it will come sooner or later. In the end, another thing that this sector has shown is its cyclical nature, with falls and rises in relatively short periods.

Light at the end of the tunnel: Graphics cards with falling prices

I am happy to give you this good news, as it marks the beginning of a slow recovery that could be completed by the middle of this year and that, in theory, should allow us to buy graphics cards of this generation at their recommended retail prices. I don’t want to be optimistic, especially since we have already seen signs of a recovery frustrated by a change in trend. Still, now the situation could evolve differently.

In the attached graph, courtesy of 3DCenter.org, we can see the evolution of the prices of NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards in two fundamental European markets, Germany and Austria, and also the value of Ethereum. There is a clear correlation between the variations in the value of Ethereum and the sale price of graphics cards, which only confirms what I have already told you so many times, that influence of the cryptocurrency sector in the graphics card market.

The correlation is not proportional, but it is evident. With the last drop in value that Ethereum has experienced, we see that there is also a drop in the price of graphics cards that, on this occasion, has affected AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 more, which go from 178% to 167%. The NVIDIA RTX 30 drops from 185% to 177%.

It is already possible to find some graphics cards at slightly less crazy prices in Spain. For example, the MSI AMD Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X is available for €459.26. The recommended price of the RX 6600 is 339 euros, so since it is a personalized model with a good finish, the extra cost is even “acceptable,” especially considering how the panorama is in the graphic sector. Unfortunately, in the case of NVIDIA, things look worse since the RTX 3060 is around 700 euros.

  • NASA delays its plans to return to the Moon

NASA delays its plans to return to the Moon

Of NASA’s plans for the near future, arguably the most exciting island humans on Mars sometime in the next decade.

However, this objective depends on many previous steps and, if we think about it carefully, we will see that the arrival of man on the red planet may be delayed to the next decade or even if there is a loss of interest and therefore of investment, which can be postponed indefinitely. Of course, I hope that it does not happen, but it is a possibility that we must consider.

    [ads1]

However, one of the steps in NASA’s project to take humans to Mars is to return to the Moon, our natural satellite, a milestone first reached in 1969 with the Apollo XI mission.

Plans at the time pointed to a future where our presence there would intensify over time. However, after several more tasks within the same program, it was canceled, and, contrary to initial expectations, that moment marked the end of man’s presence on the satellite.

For this reason, when NASA announced the return of man to the Moon, within the Artemis project, for the year 2024, the illusions of many people, who consider that space exploration plays a vital role in the present and future of humanity, lavishly celebrated these new plans, but took them with a grain of salt, while assuming that delays were a reasonably likely possibility.

And this is what the US space agency has confirmed. After a few months of doubts about it, motivated by budgetary problems and by Blue Origin’s reaction after losing the NASA competition to build the ship that will take us to the Moon, which forced preparations to be delayed for several months, today we can read on SlashGear that the first human-crewed Artemis mission to the Moon will most likely not occur until 2025 at the earliest.

Let us remember that before the human-crewed mission to the Moon, now scheduled for 2025, NASA has planned two significant steps. The first is the Artemis I mission.

It will consist of the launch of the vehicle built for the mission, but without a crew, and it will go into orbit around the Moon for six days before returning to Earth. The Artemis II mission will repeat the same steps, but this time with a crew.

Only when both missions have been completed will Artemis III take place, which is the mission that will mark the return of the human being to the Moon. Thus, any delay in the previous two tasks can further delay this mission. However, what NASA is making clear is that Artemis is a priority, and consequently, it will continue to press for the necessary funding. Let’s hope this happens sooner rather than later.

  • Brave browser exceeds 50 million users and launches cryptocurrency portfolio

Brave browser exceeds 50 million users and launches cryptocurrency portfolio

The Brave browser is celebrating, and there are several reasons for this, but the main one is the increase in its market share, whose growth has doubled annually since its launch a little over five years ago.

The Brave browser enters 2022 announcing that it has exceeded 50 million users, which may sound like crumbs, but nothing is further from reality for a project with a brilliant mind behind it but without the economic muscle of companies like Google or Microsoft.

Indeed, no one doubts that much of the secret of the Brave browser’s success lies in the person of Brendan Eich, creator of the JavaScript programming language and co-founder of Mozilla, who left the Firefox ship in 2014 under pressure from his ideological positions. However, it is possible to be morally unbalanced and at the same time be a technological guru, and Eich is one of those.

After a couple of years of work, in January 2016, the first version of the Brave browser was launched, a new bet based on Chromium, but with a very Mozilla spirit: open source and with user privacy as the main flag. With those, Brave has become one of the most popular among alternative web browsers, even though its first stable version would not arrive until the end of 2019.

Be that as it may, the Brave browser has grown slowly but surely from its inception until now. It enters 2022, doubling its presence for the fifth consecutive year: more than 50 million monthly active users and peaks of more than 15 and a half million users. Active per day. If market trends are confirmed, in one year, it will have surpassed Opera and Firefox in two.

The Brave browser, however, is more than just a standalone application: it revolves around its ecosystem, one that is continually expanding and that has around it services such as a private advertising platform that rewards sites (1.3 million are the sites targeted to date) and users, built-in cryptocurrency portfolio, a video conferencing service, a promising own search engine … And VPN on the way.

But yes, the Brave browser is attractive on its own given its approach to strong protection of personal privacy, including an ad blocker and trackers or built-in support for browsing incognito through the Tor network, all while offering the Same power and compatibility with the web and Chrome browser extensions. Brave is the most Chrome-fond of all the Chromium derivatives.

By the way, coinciding with this announcement, a new version of the Brave browser has been launched, concise in terms of news. Still, we are not before a Microsoft Edge or a Vivaldi to use: Brave is generally conservative in form and substance, with their additives. In this case, the final version of the cryptocurrency portfolio is released, a complete version beyond the management of BATs that users of this type of technology will surely like.

In short, competition in web browsers does exist even when everything that goes up has its roots in Chromium, and the Brave is an excellent example of this. Still, you have not tried? Give it a chance: Brave browser is available for PC (Linux, Mac, Windows) and mobile (Android, iOS).

  • Stephanie Mason sold her farts in jars, and now sells them in NFT format

Stephanie Mason sold her farts in jars, and now sells them in NFT format

Stephanie Matto is a celebrity who became famous due to her participation in the reality show “90-Day Fiance”. After appearing on the show, Matto built a large following on TikTok, where she began selling her gases in vials for values of up to $1,000. But after some time of commercializing this bizarre but successful product, he announced that she would stop selling them, at least in bottles, and replace them with NFTs.

Recently, Matto had to be hospitalized due to gastric complications. This was caused by the high fiber diet you consume to produce much gas. According to her statements to Jam Press, she initially thought it was a stroke but quickly realized that the problem was another.

Although she did not explain to her doctors about the sale of gas in bottles, Matto did tell them about her particular diet. Doctors advised her to change her and take a gas-suppressing medicine. This involved abandoning her business, which is very profitable.

Stephanie Matto considered herself a businesswoman and began selling her gases in bottles last November for those who do not know. She frequently shares a record of her foods to increase her flatulence. And some reports indicate that she earned as much as $ 50,000 per week from her sale.

Matto launched her website for NFTs.

Matto was not ready to abandon her business entirely and decided to transfer it to the world of NFTs. She replaced the gases in actual flasks with their cartoon equivalent. To complete the transition, it launched a website that sells 5,000 NFTs for a price of .05ether ( roughly $ 191 match). One hundred of these NFTs can be exchanged for gases in genuine bottles, another 70 for used underwear, and another 30 for lingerie pieces.

Finally, the website advertises that the businesswoman offers Zoom calls and tutorials to help anyone who wants to start a business like hers. Those interested will receive tips to build a brand and become content creators.

  • MSEdgeRedirect prevents Microsoft from choosing the browser to use

MSEdgeRedirect prevents Microsoft from choosing the browser to use

MSEdgeRedirect is a tool that allows the user and not Microsoft to select the browser they want to use regardless of the content they handle in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Open source and accessible, it has just been updated and is available in its repository of GitHub.

We started in 2022 and continue with the same film as previous years. Microsoft is leveraging Windows’ vast share of desktop computing to drive the adoption of its applications and not always respecting users’ choice or complicating it through the known “dark patterns” or other techniques that by action or omission make it challenging to use alternatives.

In this case, we are talking about Edge. Microsoft has adopted aggressive behavior to push its web browser. And we insist again: it was unnecessary because the new version based on Chromium is the best browser ever created by the Redmond firm and has enough arguments to please any user without the need for tricks and opening what is becoming a new browser ‘war.’

We have already informed you of the changes implemented in Windows 11 to select the applications that open each type of file by default and specifically for what concerns us with the web browser. In previous systems, you only had to select your favorite browser. For Windows 11, Microsoft has made relevant changes since it is necessary to make this choice for each type of extension and protocol associated with the browser. Something that very few of us are going to do.

    MSEdgeRedirect

In addition, the system forces to use the Edge browser for different actions such as the links of the news widget and other components. Here, only Microsoft’s browser can handle the protocol that controls it without allowing third-party applications to take it.

    MSEdgeRedirect

Alternative browsers such as Firefox and Brave implemented their interception code to prevent Microsoft from forcing Edge when opening links. And tools like EdgeDeflector were created to avoid this anti-competitive behavior. Microsoft blocked both methods.

MSEdgeRedirect does something similar and has just been updated to be more helpful. This tool uses a different method of interception and redirection of specific Edge links compared to others, and that is why it continues to work. The developers explain that: ” This tool filters and passes command-line arguments from Microsoft Edge processes to your default browser instead of connecting to the Microsoft-edge controller.”

Although MSEdgeRedirect is an easy-to-use (“set it and forget it”) utility, the Windows SmartScreen filter may try to block it. You can ignore any warnings as it is an open-source tool and safe to use.

How long will it work? Its execution model should give it more excellent resistance than EdgeDeflector to changes from Microsoft. It is unprecedented that the user has to be installing this type of software to choose their favorite browser, but that’s how we are. Microsoft should not decide for the user himself. And it all starts from there, taking advantage of Windows’ massive market share to power its applications.

We signed the Mozilla comment: «Users deserve options. They should have the ability to set default values easily, and their choice of default browser should be respected. ‘

  • Netflix to the charge against shared accounts in Europe

Netflix to the charge against shared accounts in Europe

For a long time, we have seen how Netflix has been taking various actions to prevent users from “misusing” their family plan, sharing the password and access to this account between members of different households (one of the most common practices Extended Premium Plan).

Thus, as happened last March, it seems that the company wanted to start a little stronger this year, having already shown the first warnings and measures among some users in Europe. Repeating with their usual method, some users have already encountered a small block when logging in to their different devices. They were asked to enter a security code sent to their phone or email to regain access to the application.

Although Netflix assures that “this test is designed to help ensure that people who use Netflix accounts are authorized to do so ” when there are suspicions that someone else is using another user’s account, it is well known that this practice is focused on trying to reduce sharing.

As some websites have already reported, the main focus is on Italy. However, some warnings have already been sent to users in other European countries, including Spain, so it would not be surprising that we will soon see an escalation of these actions in our country.

According to the latest reports presented by the company, Netflix is losing $ 9 billion per year from these shared password accounts. However, it presumably also knows that a significant number of these users would not be subscribers if it could not divide the cost of this account between Other users. And it is undoubtedly an effective way to capture some users who make less intense or more intermittent use of the platform.

However, we do not doubt that if Netflix were to take more severe measures to put an end to the exchange of passwords between people from different households, the reaction of users would be tremendously adverse and could even lead to losses. Greater than currently declared.

Fortunately, it seems that the company is aware of this, limiting itself for the moment to this method that, although it is easy to avoid on many occasions, still achieves its goal of transforming some of these Premium accounts into multiple Standard subscriptions.

  • Intel closes the deal with Hynix and sells its memory division for 9 billion dollars

Intel closes the deal with Hynix and sells its memory division for 9 billion dollars

In October 2020, Intel announced that it was in negotiations with SK Hynix to sell its memory and NAND flash storage business, and now, more than a year later, the first phase of the deal for which Intel will receive the incredible sum has just been completed. Total of 9 billion dollars.

At that time, Intel agreed to hand over its NAND flash memory business, NAND wafer and component business, and its NAND memory manufacturing facility in Dalian, China. In return, the company will receive an initial payment of $ 7 billion that will allow the change of ownership transition to begin. Notably, Intel will retain specific intellectual property related to the design and manufacture of NAND wafers for the duration of this transition. In addition, it will continue to use the Dalian facilities until this process is complete.

Once this transition is completed, it is not until 2025 that SK Hynix will take ownership of all remaining Intel assets, including the employees in charge of NAND memory Research and Development, and will have to pay the remaining $ 2 billion. These assets will then be transferred to a new SK Hynix subsidiary called Solidigm, led by Robert B. Crooke, who was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group.

On the other hand, Intel announced using these profits to “offer leadership products and promote its long-term growth priorities.” In this way, after this deal with SK Hynix, the blue company leaves the NAND flash memory market, at least for a long time.

  • WhatsApp tries an option to search for stores through our location

WhatsApp tries an option to search for stores through our location

Beyond the messaging functionalities themselves, we have recently seen how part of Meta’s ambitious plans has been reflected in WhatsApp.

And it is that in addition to the already ongoing implementation of an integrated purchasing and payment system, it seems that the messaging application is now testing the possibility of including an option to search for establishments through our location.

This has been shared by WABetaInfo, who have detected this function in the latest test version of the application. Under the name of “Businesses Nearby,” thanks to the screenshots shared by this website, we can take a preliminary look at this function’s interface and essential operation.

From now on, in the search field of the main menu of the application, we will not only be able to navigate between contents such as files, photos, or links, but this particular section will be added that will show us all kinds of shops, restaurants or service stations, and all sorts of nearby businesses based on our location.

But not only that. We can access the files of these businesses and even contact some of them directly through the messaging application itself.

As the company tends to do, this functionality was previously tested with a directory of stores in São Paulo, Brazil. Something that could indicate that the function would be more advanced than we might believe, arriving among the first WhatsApp updates next year.

In the same way, although we still do not have official details, everything indicates that this function will be available in both Android and iOS mobile applications, without knowing its possible future implementation in WhatsApp Web.

  • Intel Arc Alchemist desktop GPUs coming as early as March

Intel Arc Alchemist desktop GPUs coming as early as March

It seems that the start of 2022 will be exciting than we expected, and that is that the Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs for desktops will arrive as soon as March, according to the latest rumors from the industry.

Officially, Intel indicated that its first dedicated Arc Alchemist GPUs would arrive during the first quarter of 2022. Still, they were expected to only be in their portable variants, to the point that we know that these GPUs will be announced next week, on January 4, in CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

According to the report, Intel would initially launch two models: the one known for now as Intel Arc A780 with 512 Execution Units (4096 cores) with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a TDP of 225W, which would perform as an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and an Intel Arc A5XX with 384 Execution Units (3072 cores) with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory that would perform like an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

Now we only have to wait until next week to find out if Intel plans to finally announce the launch of its first family of dedicated GPUs and add some competitiveness in a business that is not going through its best moments due to the market cryptocurrencies and the shortage of chips.

  • Ethereum 2.0 starts the path to stop mining with the GPU

Ethereum 2.0 starts the path to stop mining with the GPU

The miners have been identified on many occasions as the main culprits for the increase in the price of dedicated graphics. However, in recent months the situation has become somewhat more complex. Despite the current pessimism, we may see an improvement on this front throughout 2022 as Ethereum 2.0 aims to take a 180-degree turn in the mining process with this cryptocurrency.

To be more specific, the Ethereum Foundation has published an entry on its official blog to ask the community to start using the first Ethereum 2 testnet, whose name is Kintsugi, to become familiar with it. It is important to note that the second major version of the cryptocurrency is still under development, and it seems that this will continue to be the case in the coming months.

Those responsible have made the appeal (which is accompanied by error reporting and support to resolve doubts) because Ethereum will stop using the GPU shortly, representing a radical change coming, at least, for a year.

The decision has been made with the purpose, among other things, of reducing energy consumption and thus being a greener option. This can impact a decrease in GPU demand, more so considering that it is possibly the second most popular cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. After conducting the tests, which will take a few months, the merger with the central node will take place.

It seems that Kintsugi will not be the only testnet, as the Ethereum Foundation could launch others to find and correct vulnerabilities and security flaws before completing the transition to Ethereum 2. Although no dates have been presented exact, it seems that the intention is to finish the migration by mid-2022.

In short, and focusing more on users, Ethereum miners have approximately six months to extract as much revenue as they can via GPU. Of course, even though only a few cryptocurrencies monopolize the media focus, the reality is that miners have enough alternatives to continue using the graph, among which are Raven, Grin, and Monero, so we will see to what extent Ethereum 2 will alleviate pressure on the dedicated graphics market.

  • DuckDuckGo Announces Its Own Desktop Web Browser

DuckDuckGo Announces Its Own Desktop Web Browser

DuckDuckGo has gradually positioned itself as one of the most used search engines on the Internet, beyond simply being the most popular among those that respect users’ privacy.

This has encouraged those responsible for embarking on other projects beyond the service for which it is known, so recently, it has been learned of the existence of a web browser for the desktop.

    [ads1]

In case it is not clear, DuckDuckGo has announced plans to offer a web browser for the desktop because, for Android, there is already such an application based on Chromium. However, it seems that he will take a very different approach this time.

Instead of reverting to Chromium as a base, DuckDuckGo’s desktop web browser will use the operating system’s rendering engine offered by default. This means that macOS will use the Safari WebKit, while in Windows, it will rely on the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge Blink.

The approach chosen by those in charge of the search engine is reminiscent of the forced situation around browsers for iOS, which all have to use the WebKit used by Safari in an unintended way, with no room for any alternative. Even Firefox uses the Safari WebKit imposed by Apple instead of Quantum / Gecko, although in the case of DuckDuckGo, we remember, it is a voluntary decision.

DuckDuckGo Desktop and Mobile Web Browser

The downside of the approach chosen by DuckDuckGo is that it dramatically reduces the chances of seeing a version for Linux since the “officiality” of Firefox in that system is something de facto and not de jure as it depends on the decision of those in charge of each one. of the distributions. In other words, Firefox is thereby habit and trajectory, but it can be replaced by any other.

At the feature level, DuckDuckGo has said that its next desktop web browser will offer “privacy protection that will work by default for search, browsing, email, and more” – not surprisingly from where it comes from. That means that it will be in charge of blocking third-party trackers, it will force the use of encryption to reinforce security and privacy, and it will also have a switch that will allow you to close all tabs and clean personal data with a single click. The company has also announced that it will be faster than Chrome.

For DuckDuckGo to start projects or support a privacy movement is nothing new. The company has already developed several tools and services to protect the privacy and has joined with Brave and Vivaldi against the imposition of FLoC, a mechanism driven by Google to stop using third-party cookies, but in exchange for giving the giant more power. And dominance over people’s digital lives.

DuckDuckGo’s desktop web browser is currently in closed beta, so we’ll probably see it made available to the public in the next few weeks.

  • TikTok surpasses major companies, it was even more popular in 2021 than Google

TikTok surpasses major companies, it was even more popular in 2021 than Google

According to Cloudflare, TikTok has produced significant growth in a single year.

TikTok has been unstoppable for years. The popularity of the video platform is growing, and in September 2021, the company reached a significant milestone: it had 1 billion users. However, TikTok may write another severe result next to its name in 2021.

According to Cloudflare, which also monitors web traffic, this year, TikTok’s website has become the most visited site globally. All of this can be described as a tremendous accomplishment because it has succeeded in overthrowing Google.com. Third place went to Facebook and fourth place to Microsoft. The top ten rankings (towards the end of 2021) look like this:

    1. TikTok.com
    2. Google.com
    3. Facebook.com
    4. Microsoft.com
    5. Apple.com
    6. Amazon.com
    7. Netflix.com
    8. YouTube.com
    9. Twitter.com
    10. WhatsApp.com

Interestingly, TikTok was only seventh overall in the 2020 aggregate – after Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Netflix, and Amazon. Cloudflare, however, noted that last year’s results only showed results for September-December 2020, compared to the full year 2021.

According to the company, TikTok first topped the global traffic rankings on February 17, 2021, followed by March and June, and has remained at the top of the list since the end of August. The app’s popularity jumped during the epidemic: while it was used most often by teenagers, it is now available to users of almost all ages.

  • The most popular extensions and themes for Firefox of 2021

The most popular extensions and themes for Firefox of 2021

Mozilla Firefox is an application that is not living its best moments, and, what’s more, its golden years are long gone. However, Mozilla’s web browser still has its loyalists, so let’s look at some of the most popular or innovative themes and extensions of 2021.

During the year 2021, 109,508,891 extensions and 17,285,192 themes were installed. These numbers, especially their difference, should not surprise us. Many users tend to leave the aesthetic theme offered by default while trying to personalize the experience, mainly the browsing experience, through the extensions.

    Blockers lead the extension ranking.

The extensions dedicated to blocking content displayed on the web have been the most popular, which should not be the least bit surprised at this point. Adblock Plus has averaged 6,134,231 daily users, while uBlock Origin has averaged 5,011,974 throughout 2021.

Although Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin are usually the most popular solutions for blockers, that doesn’t mean they are the only ones that stand out. Facebook Container, which Mozilla itself developed to put barriers to tracking carried out by the ecosystem of services of the “Zuckerberg universe,” has had 1,740,395 daily users. In contrast, the well-known Ghostery has had an average of 1,167. 938.

The Firefox Extensions website has been visited more than 133 million times. Most of these visits come from China, which is followed, in that order, by the United States, Germany, France, and Russia. Mozilla has highlighted that 60% of Russian Firefox users have installed some extension.

Themes, from what we have been able to verify, are not even half as popular as extensions, which is expected if we consider that customization is not something important for many users, so since the foundation, they have been limited to mention the most popular topic: Matte Black (Red). Without further ado, we show what it looks like in Fedora Linux with GNOME and in Windows 10.

Most Innovative Firefox Extensions of 2021

Mozilla has commented that it has been debugging its recommended extensions program for Firefox to list third parties that meet its highest standards of security, usefulness, and user experience. Apart from what has been mentioned so far, the foundation has published a list of innovative extensions through this program.

    Tab Stash

Are you one of those people who open tabs indiscriminately and, despite being saturated or overwhelmed, do not want to lose them? Tab Stash allows you to save those open tabs that have not been read or want to be kept in temporary bookmarks, which can be treated as easily navigable links or permanently saved in individual or grouped bookmarks. Also, it is compatible with Firefox Sync.

    Stylebot

Stylebot is an extension that allows you to radically alter the appearance of a web page without the need for deep design or programming knowledge. Its features include automatic saving of changes, a “magic editor” to modify and improve readability with a couple of clicks, and provides a CSS code editor for advanced users.

    Sidebar

Derived from the Tree Style Tab, the Sidebar is based on the concept of organizing open tabs in a cascading tree format so that they are “hidden” on the side of the browser. The purpose is to facilitate the management of a large number of tabs. Supports management of containers such as Facebook and multi-accounts for the browser, simple bookmarks with drag and drop support, mouse controls with the right button, snapshots, and color customization.

    Automatic dark

Mozilla has closed its list with automatic dark, which takes care of modifying the theme or colors used by Firefox based on the time of day. In this way, the application can be adapted to offer better readability depending on the time of day.

    Conclusion

As we can see, Firefox still offers exciting things, either through extensions or by introducing new features in the application, such as RLBox and Site Isolation. These two security features have reached version 95 of the browser.

However, and despite the efforts of Mozilla, Firefox has struggled for years not to compete against Chromium (as a technology) and Chrome (as an application), but not to fall into irrelevance. The only strong bastion left to the browser is Linux users, where it remains strong thanks to the conviction of users and that it comes pre-installed in most distributions.
