Microsoft/Xbox’s Netflix-like game service Game Pass gives you access to more than 100 games at great prices, and the offerings are constantly changing: not monthly, but every half-month. Not so long ago, we announced that 5 more games would be available as part of this, and soon there will be another batch, and even 4 titles, have already arrived for PC and as part of Xbox Cloud Gaming. Let’s see what they are and what we can expect for the rest of the month!

In the same way, on 17 August, the hardline historical strategy game Humankind was introduced on PC, following in the footsteps of Civilization, featuring 60 different cultures and allowing us to create our own nation as we move from antiquity modern times.
Later in August, Game Pass will be introduced to Game Pass on all platforms (Cloud, PC, Xboxes) in Part 2 of Psychonauts, the highly creative time loop adventure game Twelve Minutes, starring superstars such as Daisy Ridley, James McAvoy and Willem Dafoe, as well as a revamped version of the excellent adventure game Myst. You can see the full list below, including the dates.
Humankind (PC) – August 17
Need for Speed Heat (Cloud) EA Play – augusztus 17.

Need for Speed Heat (EA Play)
Peggle 2 (EA Play)
Psychonauts
Wasteland 2
Wasteland 3
Wasteland Remastered
As usual, some games will no longer be available as part of Game Pass from August 31. The following addresses will be 20% cheaper to get from the Microsoft Store if you feel like playing them further.
We’re writing in August; therefore, this year’s Gamescom will be held there. Due to the challenging conditions produced by the coronavirus epidemic, the Cologne event will be entirely digital. Microsoft will also pay homage to the occasion by holding separate presentations for Xbox and Bethesda.
[ads1]
Even though Gamescom doesn’t start until August 25 at 8 p.m., Xbox will present on August 24 at 7 p.m. to share more details about internal and external partners’ future addresses. For example, the Xbox-exclusive Forza Horizon 5 already features a lot of exciting data regarding Obisidian Entertainment’s RPGs, Awowed and The Outer Worlds 2, Halo Infinite, and Age of Empires IV.
Sure, the Xbox has curiously refused to divulge which addresses would be reported, but we expect the above IPs to be included in the program. During the event, Game Pass titles will be available. In June, Parris Lily, who also presented the enlarged E3 Xbox conference, will host the event.

Bethesda will offer a special presentation on August 26, about which Microsoft just spoke a few words in the formal announcement. Thus the exact time Bethesda will take the stage remains unknown. We assume the time-loop FPS will be the Bethesda mansion orbiting the evening star, based on the upcoming PS5-exclusive Deathloop. The fact that Death Loop was on a gold record just a few days ago to promote the game’s September release at the show also supports this theory.
Xbox Game Fest members will receive exclusive offers and be able to participate in a variety of online events. The Microsoft Store will be heavily discounted during Gamescom, with both games and DLCs reduced by 75%.
The date for this year’s Gamescom is August 25-27, 2021. The opening event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley once again, and you can watch the performances on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
Even during these beautiful late spring days, the film has gone viral on the YouTube account of 11-bit studios in Poland, causing viewers to scream.
Sure enough, booking to the 2018 Frostpunk reported the continuance of Frostpunk 2, which isn’t likely to remind anyone of a carnival excursion. Although the trailer is enjoyable, it does not reveal anything about the game itself.
Frostpunk 2 will be a city-building and board game in which endurance is a challenge because the world is overrun by minuses that quickly freeze into an unbreakable in the wild. One of the anomalies will be that we will not be heating with coal at this time. However, we strive to avoid our kin’s ice crossing by using oil.
While the first chapter is whole-world destroying, the spin-off takes place in a more dismal setting, according to Jakub Stokalski, co-head of Frostpunk 2. Urban areas have weathered the colossal snowstorm near the end of the last game’s mission and will now try to extend.
According to Stokalski, the following section will be more significant and “more extensive,” as they will better exhibit the best adversary, which is merely human instinct. He didn’t detail the role oil will play in the game. He guarantees, though, that it will be a depressing piece.
They’re still in the early stages of development with Frostpunk 2. Naturally, no information about their due date has been revealed. It had only been announced for PCs, albeit the first half of that year was also released on consoles. Frostpunk is currently available for free on Steam till the end of the week.
Although Microsoft acquired Bethesda through ZeniMax, this does not mean that QuakeCon, the show founded by id Software, is finished; the three-day event will take place on August 19 this year and will be streamed live online.
A whole panel will be dedicated to this year’s 25-year-old Quake and the many other Bethesda games and performances. Another will reveal a “revitalized version” of the classic FPS in a leak.
The program was initially uploaded on Friday, August 20. The description is contained in the US IGN reports, “For John Linneman, the Quake return to the structure of this particular stream! He chats to Jerk Gustaffson, the game’s developer, about its famous legacy and what it means to the two of them from the Digital Foundation. They also discuss how MachineGames assisted in revitalizing [Quake].”
We can notice that the “revitalized edition” has been removed from the text if we go to the QuakeCon schedule and click on the Let’s talk Quake panel. Of course, the internet has not been forgotten, and a search of web.archive.org reveals the specified section in the description. What could it possibly be? We’re considering a simple remake or something along with Quake 2. A remake would also be beneficial. On the other hand, the revived one may allude to a refurbished version. Anyway, we’ve lately received similar unauthorized information, so fingers crossed!
Quake was first launched in 1996, riding on the success of Doom 1-2, but it was a forward-thinking game in many aspects (such as its handling and weapons), not a simple Doom clone, and it took multi-madness to a new level. Of course, Quake 3 has a significant cult following, and its multiplayer mode (which was already honed to multi) has evolved into an evergreen. Quake Champions, released in 2017, was the most recent Quake game.
The first hobbyist from this year’s Call of Duty episode, Vanguard, has arrived. The short video was received by content producer MrDalekJD and then shared on Twitter. The video shows an area fenced with barbed wire and two captions. One is the German “Achtung” (Caution!) Call that appears on one board. The other is SGT. Kingsley (Sergeant Kingsley) can be removed on barbed wire tape.
Some believe the video references the battle following the siege of the 1944 Merville artillery battery. The competition was part of Operation Tonga during the landing in Normandy. The Merville artillery battery was a German-dominated coastal rampart in Normandy, part of the Atlantic Wall.
According to intelligence, the rampart was heavily defended with anti-aircraft missile launchers. The Allies attacked it, equipped with heavy-caliber weapons that could jeopardize British landing on Sword Beach, just 8 miles away. A 4.6-meter barbed wire fence surrounded the Merville rampart, but an armored trench also protected the area.
Fans’ theory that the video could show the battle of the Merville artillery battery stands its ground. That would be in line with Tom Henderson’sknowledge that there will be a “Day” mission at Vanguard. Landing in Normandy is also commonly referred to as D-Day, and this operation is even considered the best-known D-Day. Henderson leaked a lot of Vanguard yesterday. The information from an insider journalist at DualShockers has been gathered in this article.
A mission called "D DAY" starts with a plane taking flak gun fire. Your plane gets hit and you drop into the sea and have to crawl to the beach.
All we have to do is endure the last month of the summer to get started in the fall of Canaan and be provided with plenty of exciting new games. You don’t have to be discouraged, some gems are also in store for the month of August! Let’s see!
1. Icarus
Available: August 12, 2021 (PC)
Icarus will be a free sci-fi survival game that the creators of Rocketworkz have dreamed up for us. The planetary surfaces where we have to survive by collecting will be individually designed, not randomly generated. If we don’t get back to our spaceship on time on the planets by the time it launches, all the equipment we had will be lost. It can also be played in a team. For the most part, there will be 30-minute “sessions” in it, but 2-day ones won’t be uncommon either.
2. Humankind
Available: August 17, 2021 ( PC )
Humankind is a historical strategy game, in which the history of all mankind can write again. By crossing up to 60 different cultures, you can create unique cultures you could never have imagined before. I want to take the Civilization series off the throne, but will they succeed? What do you think?
3. Ghost of Tsushima – Director’s Cut
Available: August 20, 2021 ( PS5, PS4 )
Ghost of Tsushima with the 13th century Mongol Empire I don’t think needs to be introduced to many, but the Directors’s Cut version ( which will be released on August 20) is all the more so! This PlayStation exclusive title has become a favorite of many, but what does the director’s version offer? We get a whole new island! There will be new abilities, new enemy types and we can even worry about armour for our horse! But other than that, the director’s version has a lot of little new features! Check out the trailer!
4. Psychonauts 2
Available: August 25, 2021 (PS4, XBO, PC)
It was already known in 2018 that Psychonauts 2 was coming, but it was certainly necessary to wait until the end of the summer of 2021 for the latest instalment of the Double Fine game already in Microsoft’s hands to actually be released. Although we’ve also got an exciting version of PlayStation VR since the first part, the official second part will still be that. Once again, hiding in Raz’s skin, we can venture into more crazy places than crazy, experiencing a new, excitingly funny story.
5. New World
Available: August 31, 2021 (PC)
Amazon’s MMORPG, after lots and lots of slips, looks like it’s finally coming out on the last day of August! The killer news of the game’s video card has stirred up big dust, as the beta, which could be tested at the end of July, specifically cut some EVGA RTX 3090 cards, but they were compensated for it. Although it is not entirely proven that they were the geese in this, but a patch has already come to light where the case has been resolved by limiting framerate. In any case, Amazon’s saviour seems exciting. We’ll see what they manage to put on the table!
Fans of last-century home machines will undoubtedly be pleased to hear that another of the legendary machine types of the era will soon return in modern form. Retro Games has announced that it will keep its previous promise and release a quasi-refurbished mini version of the Commodore Amiga 500.
The company is the same company that previously released a first mini-version of the Commodore 64 and later a full-size modernized version. The new edition of the Amiga 500 can be expected to have a similar machine, smaller than the original machine, still emulate it perfectly, and is designed to connect to modern hardware.
The “THE A500 Mini” is planned to run software not only for the Amiga 500 but also for the Amiga 600 and 1200, including those that take advantage of the capabilities of the latter’s enhanced AGA chip. However, from these, it will already generate the image on the HDMI output, in 720p resolution, and will operate in 50 Hz and 60 Hz modes.
Although it will have its keyboard, like the C64 Mini, it will be an ornament, and the keys can’t be pressed. At the same time, the emulator running on it will be able to display a virtual keyboard that can be operated with the mouse or controller added to the machine. Of course, it will be possible to connect a keyboard that works via USB.
The A500 Mini will come with 25 classic Amiga games as standard, but you can also download any other games and programs via USB. As with previous retro consoles, game positions can be saved and loaded here even if the game itself does not support it.
There is no exact release date and expected price yet, but realistically it is only worth anticipating a 2022 release.
Among other things, U.S. IGN has reported that it has received a fix for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that optimizes its graphics for Xbox Series X and S consoles. Thus, among other things, ray tracing support has become available for the hell-racing game.
Hellblade has generally been more beautiful on Microsoft’s modern consoles, with a choice of three graphics options. Performance prioritizes image refresh rate, Resolution turns on Resolution, and Enriched turns on ray tracing, which brings precisely what Resolution and fps on the two consoles are detailed here. Xbox owners of the game will receive the update for free and will arrive on a PC later. There are no plans to throw out the patch for “other platforms” (meaning PS5), which was expected after Microsoft acquired developer Ninja Theory in 2018.
Senua’s Sacrifice was already an extremely spectacular game, which is a dire performance in that Ninja Theory doesn’t count as a huge studio (let’s say something interesting about Hellblade’s gameplay in return). The game’s great strength is its powerful atmosphere with a camera that constantly climbs into the protagonist’s face and rarely uses a cut and portrays psychosis. Yet his most considerable technical feat is sound design. The Hellblade is a must-experience with better-quality stereo headphones, so we can feel what it’s like to be disturbed by internal sounds without stopping.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has been in the works for some time, which is unknown when it may appear. In any case, the makers claim that Senua’s Sacrifice will not be delayed due to the nextgen update because it was made with the help of QLOC, who also threw the game on Switch.
Ubisoft has been criticized by many for not wanting to do anything with the Prince of Persia series and Splinter Cell either, even though they could have a new episode or a reboot.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is realized, of course, but the publisher’s characters are more wrapped up in other games in the form of cameos. So will the All-Star Blast, which you can preview below.
All-Star Blast is similar to some of Nintendo’s games and the legendary Bomberman’s, meaning the primary goal is to trap our comrades and blow them up on a spacious but straightforward track from a top view, taking advantage of the dead ends.
Both special weapons and special power-ups are at our disposal to win. The novelty is that, like battle royals, the map is getting narrower, forcing players to get close to each other and get out of the final winner.
A total of 100 can participate in the fight, so it’s a BR. Oh, and of course, we can play with Ubisoft game characters, so the Prince of Persia hero, Sam Fisher, Ezio, River from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Rayman, or a Rabbid, and Fenix, the Immortals we can also control her.
Ubisoft All-Star Blast is currently available for free play on PCs, mobiles, and tablets, and those interested can find it here on a platform called Ubisoft Nano. Anyway, we can play with friends, create our leaderboards, and get cosmetic stuff by looking at an ad, so you don’t have to spend real money on this battle royale.
Ubisoft has been moving very strongly towards multiplayer lately: Riders Republic, which is preparing for a massive online extreme sports game, is coming, and it recently announced Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, a fast-paced, multiplayer FPS.
Although rival PES has moved to a free-to-play model this year and will continue to keep up with interest in the game of football through updates, EA will continue to believe in its annual release. And why not? As FIFA episodes are running amazingly well, presumably, it won’t be different for FIFA 22. This, of course, requires EA Canada to come up with new features and enhancements every year (with some success, sometimes with less success), and a few of these have already been introduced in connection with the new iteration coming this fall. Let’s see which of these seem to be the most important!
1. You can form your team in career mode
One of the essential innovations concerns the managerial career mode, within which we can finally create our team. Since we can start in real leagues, we have to choose which team in the given league we want to make our guard for, which we can customize in almost every respect: we can set the jerseys and the logo, what’s more, we can choose rivals within the league, such and fans will be a priority. In the Squad Builder menu, we can assemble our guard from the randomly generated players and then strengthen the frame based on our financial capabilities and the club’s expectations to have a chance to start winning the tournament. From now on, the stadium editor will also be available in career mode,
2. Artificial intelligence makes animations better
The most showcased novelty of FIFA 22 is HyperMotion technology, which involves capturing many moves with professional footballers dressed in motion capture suits, which are then incorporated into the game using a machine learning method. According to the match situation, the algorithm creates the appropriate animations from the 8.7 million data set in real-time, so FIFA 22 is promised to provide the most “realistic” and “dynamic” football experience to date. Six times as many decisions can be made in a single second as before, so footballers will react faster to the ball and situations, make better decisions on moves, and defenders will be able to withstand attacks much more organized. The only bump,
3. The gameplay is renewed
In addition to HyperMotion, the developers promise several refinements to the gameplay. For example, the artificial intelligence of goalkeepers will change, they will make better decisions, they will be more skillfully positioned, and we will now recognize the classics for their defensive style. Of course, the net guards will have a more challenging time, as the experts have also been involved in ball physics, and let’s say the bastard will bounce, sift, spin and twist as it does in reality. A new game mechanics element will also be added, namely the possibility of a powerful sprint, which will reshape the one-on-one situations thoroughly. We will gain a severe step advantage with our players by suddenly swaying. Of course, this will have a charging time, so hopefully, not this solution will be constantly forced by everyone on the field. We also get new offensive tactics to score goals,
4. The development system in Division Rivals is transformed
Of course, the online division of the game has not remained untouched this year either. For example, the most popular game mode development system, Division Rivals, has been thoroughly transformed. Everyone will start in Division 10, but we can expect much better weekly rewards no matter what division we play. A personal development system, stages, has been included in the jumps between divisions. If we win a Rivals match, we move up a station. If we tie, we stay at our current level. If we lose, we step back. There will be rescue points and victory series that will strongly impact how we can pocket everything from weekly rewards. In addition, the Division Rivals are now much better integrated into the FUT Season, and we can pinch three seasonal tips per division. All we have to do is play,
5. Elite league for the best football players
The Elite Division will be unveiled at FIFA 22, giving Beyond Division 1 a new opportunity for the best players to compete against each other. Our progress is already determined by a so-called Skill Rating in the Elite Division, though if we get here, we can already play in the elite league by the end of the current season. Of course, much tougher matches and more significant rewards await us, and the top 200 will be placed on a global leaderboard from which they can then qualify for the most prestigious event, the FIFA Global Series.
6. Introducing a new game mode, Co-op Public Matchmaking
A long-awaited new game mode is added to the line of online friendly clashes, renamed the somewhat complicated FUT Co-op Public Matchmaking. The point of this is that we can play friendly matches with FUT teams on the side of a friend of ours. Well, not with our own, but with pre-set guards that change at regular intervals and adapt to the current FUT conditions, which can be helpful not only for the easy fun but also because we can try out a lot of players to see how they play. In online game mode.
7. We can fight ourselves from the small bench to the beginner
While this would not be a novelty in rival PES, it will be the first time in FIFA 22 that we are trying to flash on the field as we get off the bench in player career mode. At the beginning of our career, it will undoubtedly happen that we do not get a place in the front, and when the manager decides, we can enter the field as a replacement. In such cases, we will be given tasks to be performed depending on our position, even for that short time. For example, goal shots and scoring will be the most important things for a striker. If we manage to accomplish these, our coach’s confidence will grow in us (Manager Rating), and so we can pretty much get our place in the starting 11.
8. You don’t have to watch your opponent’s goal joy
Celebrating goals is an integral part of football, a lot of players make their marks from these, but in FIFA, it can be pretty frustrating to have to watch an opponent’s parade after a hit – we’re’ sure a lot of TV controllers and souls hurt it. Its procedure over the years. In FIFA 22, however, we will have the opportunity to avoid this torture. By switching to Celebration Camera Focus instead of celebrating our opponent, we can see how our team reacted to the goal they received. It won’t’ be an uplifting feeling either, but maybe a degree less frustrating. And this option is available in all game modes, not just FUT.
9. The nextgen update will not be free
It’s not precisely a heartbreaking novelty, but you also need to know about it: updating FIFA 22 nextgen won’t be free. From the PS4 and Xbox One versions, we can only upgrade the game to PS5 and Xbox Series consoles if we purchase the digitally available Ultimate edition of FIFA 22, which is approx. It will cost 37,000 HUF. So it’s’ worth considering for those who don’t’ already have a nextgen console whether they’ll’ want to play FIFA 22 on their new machine coming later, and along with that, decide which edition to choose from the game.
10. Surprise!
This may not need to be explained much: Lionel Messi has been certified to the PSG team from Barcelona, so look for him there already.
Well, let’s say something inspiring. Maybe the Ferencváros team and the Hungarian championship will be included. At least the lines of code referring to this have already been spotted in the beta version of the program. But the matter has not been officially announced yet, so hope remains for now.
There was a team in the code called "FUT 21 Icons"
In the latest code update, EA renamed it to "Icons Club"
They also added a new team called "FUT Heroes Club"
We think these will be the most critical innovations in FIFA 22, which will arrive on October 1, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadium. . How do you like the new episode so far? Write in the comment!
In July, we also received two big news on the handheld console front: on the one hand, Nintendo announced the improved Switch, and on the other hand, Valve unveiled its new Steam hardware, the Deck, which is best suited to a more powerful PC. Because they are similar in size and design, many have begun to compare the two machines, and Valve also had to make a statement that despite appearances, the Steam Deck will not be a competitor to the Nintendo machine as its target audience is different.
Nevertheless, it is worth looking at the pictures below, where you can see the two gaming machines side by side and each other, and the Deck and other previous handheld devices.
On the one hand, Tom Verren, editor of The Verge, has published one of the photos below, in which we can place the Deck and the Switch on top of each other. Even more exciting is the other image published by Jan Ocha, a video player for Giant Bomb, which features several classic handheld consoles: Game Boy Advance, Game Gear, and PlayStation Vita alongside Nintendo and Steam.
The parameters of the Nintendo Switch will be J8-Connal 238x102x14 mm, while the Steam Decks will be 298x117x49 mm, but the OLED Switch will be slightly larger than the current one: 239x102x28.7 mm.
The OLED version of the Nintendo Switch will hit stores in October and the Steam Deck in December this year. You can learn the essential information about the Deck, plus a little addition to the targeted frame rate here.
Perhaps everyone still remembers Valheim, the surprise game of the beginning of the year that entered a state of early access in February and was of terrible interest in it.
The surviving open-world match is still played a lot and is developing nicely. You don’t have to be afraid of the Tribes of Midgard because, in any case, it is a Viking-themed work of a different genre and different tempo, which in turn resembles Valheim in that it produced very nice results. Weeks after its premiere.
[ads1]
The Tribes of Midgard, which has been postponed several times and is embraced by the publishing division of Gearbox (Borderlands), finally ran on July 27, and its marketing campaign appears to have been effective, with plenty of confidence in its first week and even its first three days of 250,000.
Copies sold out. That number has doubled by now, as the development team, Norsfell Games, reported on Twitter (below) that yes, they and the players did it: they crossed the 500,000 dream mark, so more than half a million have already knocked down the Tribes of Midgard. Of course, Valheim’s stats are still a long way off, as it managed to herd 3 million virtual Vikings into longships in 2 weeks.
What are these Tribes of Midgard? It is a rather exciting genre hybrid, perhaps faster than it needs to be. Due to its time limit, we feel it drives like a Tatar, even if one can live with this image disorder in a Viking game. Our job is to defend the world tree in the middle of our village from the regular, nightly attack of growing opponents.
During the ever-shortening days, we have the opportunity to gather the raw materials needed to build towers or gates, strengthen our character, and crush the regularly arriving giants (Jotünn) before they reach the world tree or the tree of life.
We did it Vikings! 🎉 More than half a million of you have protected Midgard just a week after launch.
So tower defense, action role-playing, and survival play are mixed in Tribes of Midgard. You also have a powerful roguelike punch because if you destroy the particular tree against it, the game is over and unless you reach a point limit, and we didn’t get permanent stuff, we can start everything from scratch in the new game, net round.
This can be frustrating for some players, so the Tribes of Midgard is not for everyone, just as Returnal wasn’t. But the fact is that the fast-paced (basically 2-3 hours) game, which you can expect for our test soon, can cause pleasant minutes, especially in teams (we can play ten multiples at a time).
The Tribes of Midgard has been available since July 27 on PC, PS4, and PS5.
As early as August 2020, a war broke out between Epic Games and Apple, and soon after, between Epic Games and Google, as Epic did not consider it fair that all game-related purchases could be made through the internal payment system of the two giant companies’ online stores. Because the developer-publisher tried to circumvent this in the case of Fortnite, it was removed from the App Store and Google Play.
This ended in a lengthy lawsuit, one of whose trials even drowned in chaos. On the other hand, the case has brought exciting details about the publisher and its partnerships to light. More recently, a document has emerged showing that Google wanted to take down Epic with a rather drastic step.
The Verge reported that was made public in a court document. A legal representative for Epic Games claims that Google intended to resolve the conflict in a business manner, that is, to acquire Epic. However, if the publisher-developer wins the war it has waged against Apple and Google, it would cost both parties serious money in the short term and the long run.
This was unbeknownst to us at the time, and because of the court’s protective order we’re just finding out now about Google’s consideration of buying Epic to shut down our efforts to compete with Google Play.https://t.co/HSS1edUrQm
It could require other parties to circumvent the online store shopping system directly. Ask users for the sums in their own pockets. That’s why the company considered acquiring all or part of Epic Games, thus averting the “threat.” In addition, the document claims that Google has set up several internal projects to address the threat posed or is being reported by Epic and similar aspiring customers.
Epic Games chief Tim Sweeney also responded to this information on Twitter (below), citing an article by The Verge. “At the time, we were unaware of this, and because of the court’s order of protection, we have only just learned that Google intended to acquire Epic to thwart our efforts to create competition with Google Play. It is unclear whether this trial they would have imagined or tried to acquire Epic more aggressively,” Sweeney wrote.
Fortnite is currently unavailable through Google Play but can be downloaded directly to Android devices. Still, according to the document, during a search, a Google Play manager warned Epic that many people would not go through the direct download procedure because it is lengthy.
They compared to download from the App Store and the Google Store in two steps. Incidentally, Google, according to The Verge, is also a defendant in a more significant antitrust (market antitrust) case, the essence of which is that Android is a much less open platform compared to what its manufacturer claims or restricts, for example, third-party online store availability or direct downloads.
